How Do I Get Some?

1. We'll see you in person either at your home or at our outreach clinic  (We are with you every step of the way - we know how important it is to have a real human to talk to and not an online bot!           )

2. Next is a confidential medical questionnaire, foot impressions and we even take a video of you walking (just your legs & feet!          )

3. Your orthotic insoles will be made by hand to your exact specifications (whilst you relax knowing that you haven't had the stress of a DIY foot measurement kit)

4. We'll make an appointment for fitting your custom orthotics (yes, we will fit your insoles to make sure they are right)

Enjoy your new feet experience with the peace of mind that we are here for you if anything crops up.

Taking Care of Your Orthotics

Your custom built orthotics are made using only the highest quality materials and as such they are built for longevity. However, certain precautions should be taken to maximise the lifespan of your orthotic insoles:

  • Do not attempt to modify the orthotic device yourself. In the event of any modifications being required, please contact us for advice.

  • Keep your orthotic insoles away from any sources of excessive heat such as radiators and fireplaces.

  • When cleaning your orthotic insoles, use only warm (not hot) soapy water. Avoid any abrasive or harsh chemicals. Hand wash only - careful not to submerge totally in water.

  • Once cleaned, allow the orthotic insoles to air dry naturally.

  • Only wear your custom built orthotic insoles in accordance with this leaflet and/or the advice of your practitioner

Take care

Why can’t I just buy off the shelf insoles?

Simple! Off the shelf insoles are not made for your feet. You won’t get maximum benefits. Custom orthotics can improve foot alignment and movement patterns, which may feel different at first but should enhance comfort and mobility over time

Do you make them yourself?

We are proud to have a partnership with a family run, UK based medical orthotics maker. This way ensures that you get value for money and a quality product.

I have seen online DIY orthotics, what are they?

There are online sellers that ask patients to take their own measurements and foot impressions. JWFOOTCARE will come to your home, taking the stress out of measuring and fitting. In addition, you have an actual human to speak to if anything crops up.  You are also supporting local business.

Can I put the orthotics in all of my footwear?

Your custom orthotics are insoles that fit in your existing shoes and trainers and are interchangeable. They may not fit in every pair of footwear that you have. However, we can give you advice around this to ensure you get maximum usage. The best advice is to put the orthotics in the footwear that you wear the most.

You have the power! You can simply take the orthotics out and put them in other footwear as many times as you like.

How long does it take to get custom orthotics?

The process typically takes a few weeks, including assessment, fitting, and manufacturing time.

How long do orthotics last?

Custom orthotics can last up to 10 years*, but their lifespan depends on usage and wear.

*not including soft coverings

My Orthotics look like there are different layers fixed together, what is this?

Don't forget, your orthotics are specifically made for your feet.  There are different layers, different materials and different supports that are fixed together. The whole process is done by hand to ensure quality.
